Fire Mountain Farm Coffee
Fire Mountain Farm Coffee is single estate coffee from the Hamakua District of Big Island of Hawaii. Grown on the lush, northern slopes of Mauna Kea, at 2000 feet elevation, using totally organic methods, Fire Mountain Farm produces the same variety of coffee grown in the Kona District. The coffee trees are mixed in among the larger macadamia nut trees. As the mountain mists descend over the trees from the higher altitudes a magical and healthy growing atmosphere is produced. The coffee is picked, pulped, fermented and sun dried by hand using the antique coffee processing equipment employed for decades on Fire Mountain Farm. The Fire Mountain Farm family believes that its coffee is best when roasted lightly. Our medium city roast produces a smooth, distinct and full bodied coffee with notes of earth & chocolate. Darker roasts become bitter quickly.
